The God who belongs to you isn't a local or limited deity—His justice and authority extend across the entire earth; He's neither small nor confined to one place.
In the ancient world, people often thought each nation had its own god, limited to that territory. The psalmist is declaring something radical: the God of Israel isn't just powerful in Jerusalem or Judah—His rule is universal. This was both a comfort to Israel and a challenge to other nations.
