When you accept what Jesus says, you are essentially putting your stamp of approval on God Himself, declaring that God is trustworthy and true.

In the ancient world, a seal (sphragis) was a guarantee of authenticity. By believing Jesus, one effectively certifies the truthfulness of God Himself, since Jesus speaks God's words.
