John 3:13, in plain English

Jesus said, 'No one has gone up to heaven except the one who came down from there — the Son of Man.'

Jesus declares that no one has ascended to heaven except the Son of Man, who descended from heaven.

Language and setting

This verse asserts the unique heavenly origin of Jesus and implicitly refutes claims that Moses, Enoch, or Elijah ascended to heaven to bring back divine revelation. Only the Son of Man has direct access to heavenly realities.
